Scholarships & Education Loans
At the International Deaf Academy, we believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of a Deaf student’s academic journey. Across India, a wide range of scholarships and education loan schemes are available to support students with disabilities—offered by the Central Government, State Governments, and private institutions. These include the Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, Top Class Education, and National Fellowship schemes under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan). Many states also offer region-specific scholarships, while private foundations and NGOs provide merit-based and need-based support for higher education.
Education loans from nationalized banks and financial institutions are increasingly inclusive, with special provisions for students with disabilities. These scholarships and loans help cover tuition fees, assistive devices, accommodation, and other academic expenses—making it possible for Deaf students to pursue school, college, vocational training, and professional degrees with dignity and independence.
